Final Exhibition

On October 14, 2025, the Andrey Sheptytskyi National Museum in Lviv will host the final exhibition of the 13th International Blown Glass Symposium in Lviv, which will run from October 5 to 15. Artists from different continents gathered in our city to work at the glass furnace and in the workshops of Ukraine's only Glass Art Department of the Lviv National Academy of Arts.

The International Blown Glass Symposium in Lviv is the world's longest-running continuous event for glass artists. Twenty artists from twelve countries will take part in the Symposium. The glass artists will begin their work on October 5 at the Lviv National Academy of Arts (LNAA) at 38 Kubiyovych Street in Lviv. The project is being implemented with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.

"The symposiums have become a catalyst for the emergence of the concept of ‘Ukrainian studio glass’ on the world stage of contemporary art. Today, looking back on more than a quarter of a century of symposium’s history, we can say that this event has become a ‘window to the world’ for post-Soviet Ukrainian glassmaking," says Mykhailo Bokotey, director of the Glass Museum in Lviv and head of the LNAA's Glass Art Department.

The Andrey Sheptytskyi National Museum in Lviv is located at 20 Svobody Ave., Lviv. The collection of assembled compositions will complement the holdings of the Glass Museum in Lviv.
